Used Hockey Gear Donations
2021-01-30Good afternoon Sooke Minor Hockey Families,
A Sooke volunteer with the organization Compassionate Resource Warehouse has reached out and is looking to collect second-hand skates, hockey helmets and hockey sticks to ship to Belarus. These donations will be going to children and youth in orphanages and schools, ages ranging from elementary aged to at-risk teenagers so all sizes will be accepted. We have already made a donation of other second-hand gear items and many retired jerseys from our storage areas but didn't have much in the way of helmets, skates and hockey sticks.
These children have little to nothing and any donation would be greatly appreciated. If you have any of these items and they don't have to be in the greatest of shape, just functional and not garbage, please contact April Alexander by email at equipment@sookeminorhockey.ca or call/ text her at 250-858-3538 to make arrangements.
